Come Celebrate with Us! The amphitheater’s second anniversary will be a GIANT birthday party complete with live music and fun for the entire family. What’s a birthday party without a sweet baked treat? Bakers will compete for 1st Place at this event. You be the judge! Cast your $1 vote for your favorite cupcake based on appearance. Also, a panel of judges will judge each cake based on taste. Once prize ribbons are awarded, all bakers will personally serve their beautiful and delicious cupcakes to those who voted. Together we can make this event a gathering the community won’t soon forget. Hold on to your ticket! When you vote, you will receive a ticket. Don’t lose it! After the “bake-off” winners are announced, you will use it to get your piece of cake. Plus, the ticket automatically enters you in a drawing for a cash prize. You must be present to win. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets, or table seating may be purchased at a cost of $5 per chair with a maximum of six chairs per table. We would like to invite you to attend this major fall community event taking place in our historic downtown. Help us celebrate and showcase our city and vibrant West Georgia arts community. The Art Walk @ THE MILL will feature a dozen or more local and regional artists displaying and offering their art for sale. These artists represent a wide variety of styles and mediums. The Art Walk will begin at 2pm on Saturday, September 29, in the heart of Villa Rica, Georgia. Visit artists’ booths filled with fascinating and diverse art and get a taste of what Villa Rica has to offer. There is something of interest for every age group, so bring the family for an artful experience. While you’re here, be sure to visit our shops and quaint eateries on Montgomery and Main Streets and throughout downtown. The fall air will be filled with music, laughter and the smell of festival foods. Beginning at 6pm, enjoy a fascinating play (TBD) performed by the West Georgia Actors’ Guild. Come and be a part of this fall festival where children enjoy the best of both worlds in a safe environment @ THE MILL and throughout downtown. Downtown business owners hand out candy at their shops, and you can play and go trick-or-treating @ THE MILL amphitheater. Participate in a parade of costumes and our costume contests, play games for candy, get your face painted or a new hair-do at our “Crazy” hair booths. The West Georgia Actors’ Guild will perform “Legends of Sleepy Hollow” at 6pm following “Downtown Trick-or-Treat”. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets, or table seating may be purchased at a cost of $5 per chair with a maximum of six chairs per table. Pet owners will converge at the Mill in historic downtown Villa Rica at 10:00am to proudly strut their pets in the Pet Parade and Games being hosted by the Villa Rica Golden City Lions. Pet owners are encouraged to dress their pets in costumes for the parade around downtown. In addition to a costume contest and pet/owner look-alike contest, dogs can compete in games, such as “fastest sit,” “best trick,” and “musical sit” (on carpet squares instead of chairs!). On site registration available for pet at just $5 per pet! Proceeds from the event will benefit the Lions Lighthouse White Cane campaign and other vision services.
