Registration begins April 8th on a first come, first served basis. You will be given the opportunity to reserve your teen’s spot by pre-paying a $25 non-refundable deposit for each week that your teen attends. Cost is $75 per week. Ages 12-15, limited to 10 participants per week, with a minimum of 4 per week. Must provide birth certificate to verify participant’s age. Note: The fee includes field trips.

Note: The all-inclusive fee includes: one camp t-shirt for the summer, field trips and snacks.

Join us for a horse ride Saturday, May 4th, 2013 through the mountain and area just like they did in years gone by. Rides starting hourly from 10am-3pm. $39 per person to ride our horse, or $10 if you have your own horse. Part of the proceeds go to offset the costs of running the gold museum, including the care and feeding of the animals. Trail ride and horses furnished by Sandhill Trails and Hal Roberts Quarter Horses, locally owned and operated. Pre-registration required as we will have a limited number of spots available. Fun for the entire family!

Golden City Cruisers “Cruise-In”

Monday – Thursday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Get ready to have an adventurous summer time! This program offers activities to include swimming, volunteering, field trips, games, tours, team building and leadership skills. Teen Exploration is a wonderful atmosphere where teens make friends and explore new possibilities.
Teen Exploration is offered in two separate sessions with no camp the week of July 1 – July 4.

Session I:              May 28 – June 27
Session II:             July 8 – August 8

Monday - Friday, 7:00am – 6:00pm 
Get your kids ready to blast off into summer! This program offers activities to include swimming, games, sports, field trips and arts & crafts. Day camp is a wonderful atmosphere where kids make friends and participate in lots of fun activities. Activities are centered on a different topic each week. Camp is offered in two separate sessions, with no camp the week of July 1 – July 5.

Summer Concert Series #1

On Saturday, June 1, Tanner Medical Center Villa Rica presents Nashville’s Brandon Giles & The Tricky Two. Enjoy a night of hard rocking honky-tonk classics, electrifying blues and boogie-woogie standards. As always, you are encouraged to come early and spend time in Downtown Villa Rica, browse our shops and have lunch or dinner at our quaint eateries. The “cupcake challenge” begins at 7pm and the music begins at 8pm, so bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy the evening. This concert is absolutely free and marks the beginning of THE MILL’s Summer Concert Series.

Load up the family and come to this concert for great music and delicious sweet and savory cupcakes at our “cupcake challenge”. Tasting tickets may be purchased in advance at the Main Street office @ THE MILL (106 Temple Street) or on the grounds of the amphitheater during the evening of this event. The theme for this challenge is “Tastes of the Seasons”; and tickets are $1 each. Bakers will offer cupcakes at their booths, so buy a handful of tickets and sample them all, and take some home, too. (Vendors will not accept cash.) The concession stand will have plenty of ice cold milk and steamy hot coffee along with other cold drinks to wash down all that sweetness. Remember to bid on our beautiful and fun gift baskets. Purchase one or more of the 15 baskets by being the highest bidder in the silent auction.

Brandon Giles & The Tricky Two

Just when you think you’ve seen it all, there is more to “light your fire” with music! If you have not experienced the wild piano playing antics of Brandon Giles and the extreme drumming dexterity of Thumper Tarver, then you have missed one of the most entertaining shows around. The band’s music ranges from blues, to country and even some good ol’ southern rock. Watching these guys adds a new “twist and spark” to the romantic tunes. Brandon Giles plays the piano and keyboard like no other with fire and energy that is non-stop. The crafty piano player shows off his skills by pounding out the jives backwards, sideways, upside down and even with the instrument on fire! Audiences are captivated by his wild energy and tremendous talent. Brandon jokingly describes his shows as being “kind of like Little Richard meets AC/DC”.

VIP table seating may be purchased for a minimum of 4 guests and maximum of 6 guests per table at a cost of $5 per chair. Wednesday, July 3rd, 5:00pm until fireworks end! Come be a part of the WOW factor at the Villa Rica Civic Center & Sports Complex (V-Plex)! Enjoy music, face painting, inflatable slides and other activities. Limited parking will be available at the park. Concession stands will be available for refreshments. Bring your lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the evening. Park rules: smoking permitted in designated areas only, pets and alcohol are prohibited in the park on this day.

Christmas Tree Lighting

Saturday, December 14th, 9:00am until 11:00am, at the Villa Rica Civic Center & Sports Complex (V-Plex). Children ages 8 and under can visit with Santa and enjoy a breakfast. You must pre-register at Gold Dust Park by December 9, 2013. Limited to the first 200 registrants. Breakfast: $20 adult & child, $10 each additional person. Fee includes breakfast, gift and activities. We’ll giveaway over 50 door prizes. Registration begins October 8th.
