GDEcD UPDATE- Brittney Gray

Message from the Meetings and Programs Committee

Is it challenging for you to attend the AMTA general membership meetings because of regular, standing meetings that you must attend like board meetings, city council meetings, management meetings, etc.?  We have two options that may help you:

  • Option #1:  If you are the primary representative in AMTA, consider changing that designation to another employee.  That person can attend AMTA meetings on your behalf and bring information back to you.
  • Option #2:  If you are the primary representative in AMTA, consider adding an additional representative for only $50 more.  The additional representative can attend AMTA meetings and bring information back to you.

Membership renewal notices will be mailed out this fall.  Please consider the options above when you fill out your membership application.  It is important that your organization remain an active and informed member of AMTA.  You don’t want to miss out on all the benefits—great networking opportunities, educational programs, Web site listings, cooperative marketing opportunities, and much more.

NEW MEMBER OPPORTUNITY- MAKE SURE YOU READ THIS, THIS OPPORTUNITY IS FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE!!

As many of you know, the PR Committee sends out a consumer newsletter every quarter to potential visitors who request additional information from AMTA or sign up on the AMTA web site. The newsletter goes out to 3,300 people that have recently signed up and reside locally as well as nationally.

We are launching a program starting September 1 where AMTA will offer 2 email blasts a month to our newsletter list at a cost of $50 per blast. It will be a first-come, first serve program. Each blast will spotlight an event/ exhibit for that member. We are limiting the blasts to 2 a month so we don't inundate our list with spam mail.

Your organization or business can also only utilize one blast per month. Your organization will be responsible for submitting all relevant text, ad layouts or pictures to the PR committee in a timely manner. The PR committee will not be responsible for editing content, spell checking or tracking down missing information, only formatting and sending out the blast.

The $50 will be put towards offsetting the cost of the newsletter program. Please let me know if you have any questions about the program and requests to reserve an email blast can be sent to pr@visitmetroatlanta.com.
