Join Union City for Movies by Moonlight at Ronald Bridges Park on August 21st where we will be showing The Blind Side featuring Academy Award winner Sandra Bullock and Michael Oher, an offensive lineman who plays for the Baltimore Ravens of the NFL. The film follows Oher from his impoverished upbringing, through his years in the suburbs, his adoption, and on to his position as one of the most highly coveted prospects in college football. The Festival has grown from a small picnic to a major event drawing over 20,000 attendees and was voted "Best Festival" on Access Atlanta's "Best of the Big A." The Sandy Springs Festival is the primary fundraiser for Heritage Sandy Springs, a non-profit organization dedicated to building community through preserving and promoting the historic and cultural identity of Sandy Springs. Features of the Festival include the Doug Kessler Lightning 5K/10K race, a juried Artist's Market, Business and Civic Expo, a Children's Park, Collector's Car Show, Kiwanis Pet Parade, Heritage Crafters, Live Entertainment, Food Court, Whole Foods Heritage Homegrown Market, Saint Joseph's Hospital Health & Wellness Area, and more.
