Chattahoochee Nature Center is the oldest and largest private, non-profit natural science learning center in the Southeast. This environmental sanctuary encompasses 30 species of native wildlife, 127 acres of native plants and gardens. The Nature Center grows more than 50% of the rare and endangered plant species found in Georgia in their gardens. Some of the gardens reflect Georgias Living Wetlands, depicting five different wetland habitats that are threatened throughout the State of Georgia. A Butterfly Garden, Bog Garden with carnivorous plants, river boardwalk and woodland trails add to the experience. A nature lovers paradise. |

Barrington Hall, Bulloch Hall and Smith Plantation Home
The Authentic Story of the American South
- Barrington Hall (c. 1842), recognized as one of the best examples of Greek
Revival architecture in the United States and one of metro Atlanta’s most beautiful
homes.
- Bulloch Hall (1839), built by the grandson of Georgia’s Revolutionary Governor,
this home is noted as one of the South’s finest examples of true temple-form
architecture. Its history is interwoven with some of the most influential names
in our nation’s history (Teddy Roosevelt and Eleanor Roosevelt).
- Smith Plantation Home (1845), filled with period furnishings belonging to
the original family and featuring a Parson’s room and 10 original outbuildings.
A Trilogy Pass is available for $18 per person (adults) and $15 per person
(children) and may be purchased at either of the homes or the Roswell Visitors
Center.
In addition to tours of the homes, the magnificent grounds of each home features
a 10-stop cell phone tour. Cell phone tours are free of charge, but be
aware that your plan minutes will apply.
