The theme for this challenge is “Tastes of the Seasons”; and tickets are $0.50 each. All bakers will offer mini-cupcakes at their booths, so by a handful of tickets and sample them all. (Vendors will not accept cash.) The concession stand will have plenty of ice cold milk and steamy hot coffee along with other cold drinks to wash down all that sweetness. This summer, enjoy The Market at THE MILL – downtown Villa Rica’s new farmers’ market located at the amphitheater at 106 Temple Street – the city’s central gather place for activity and energy. This farmers’ market will take place each Wednesday from 5p – 8p June through July and from 4p – 7p August through October.

Downtown Trick-or-Treat
Come and be a part of this fall festival where children enjoy the best of both worlds in a safe environment @ THE MILL and throughout downtown. Downtown business owners hand out candy at their shops, and you can play and go trick-or-treating @ THE MILL amphitheater. Participate in a parade of costumes and our costume contests, play games for candy, get your face painted or a new hair-do at our “Crazy” hair booths. The West Georgia Actors’ Guild will perform “Legends of Sleepy Hollow” at 6pm following “Downtown Trick-or-Treat”. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets, or table seating may be purchased at a cost of $5 per chair with a maximum of six chairs per table. Pet Parade and Games @ The MILL
Pet owners will converge at the Mill in historic downtown Villa Rica at 10:00am to proudly strut their pets in the Pet Parade and Games being hosted by the Villa Rica Golden City Lions. Pet owners are encouraged to dress their pets in costumes for the parade around downtown. In addition to a costume contest and pet/owner look-alike contest, dogs can compete in games, such as “fastest sit,” “best trick,” and “musical sit” (on carpet squares instead of chairs!). On site registration available for pet at just $5 per pet! Proceeds from the event will benefit the Lions Lighthouse White Cane campaign and other vision services. Christmas Tree Lighting and Arrival of Santa
Wintery fun celebration! Meet on this cold evening @ THE MILL to welcome Santa and the Christmas holiday season. Toys for Tots accepts monetary donations and new toys for children of West Georgia. There will be live performances of festive Christmas carols and dance performances by Michelle’s Academy of Dance. Local businesses will provide complementary hot chocolate and treats for tasting in their shops and @ THE MILL. The grand finale’ is the lighting of the city’s spectacular Christmas tree.

2nd Annual Gold Nugget Drop
The City of Villa Rica welcomes community and tourists to its “Gold Nugget Drop” @ THE MILL amphitheater. Bundle up and bring in 2013 with family, friends and neighbors in a safe environment close to home. Enjoy live entertainment followed by a “City of Gold” raffle drawing leading up to the gold nugget drop and a grand fireworks finale.
